  1. this works wonders on animals as well. My sisters horse impaled itself on a star picket. the wound was quite large and the horse was in a great deal of pain. The vet told my sister to apply the manuka honey daily.She had to put her hand in the wound and rub it on the inside of the skin and on the muscle.Within three months it was healed with only a very small scar left.
