Dr Oz’s Garlic Nail Strengthener Instructions:

Doctor Oz and Shalini Vadhera, author of Passport to Beauty: Secrets and Tips from Around the World for Becoming a Global Goddess, said that in the Dominican Republic (the DR) they use garlic to strengthen their nails. Here is how to do this nail strengthening home remedy!

Nail Strengthening Home Remedy

1. Finely chop up some garlic.
2. Add the garlic to a bottle of clear nail polish.
3. Let the nail polish sit for 7 – 10 days.
4. After the garlic has been sitting in the clear nail polish for 7 to 10 days, you can paint your nails and they will be harder than acrylic nails!

It would be best to add it to a base coat as that goes on to the nail directly…..versus a color polish that usually goes on top of a base coat

Does it come off easily like nail polish or does it need to be buffed off?

I have tried this and it WORKS!! The quality of the clear nail polish determines the length of time the product stays on your nails. It comes off with nail polish remover BUT I would warn that your nails do smell of garlic for a day after……..nobody else could smell it on me but I could!
